2 stabbed in Male’ City; 1 dies from injuries

One of the two young men stabbed in Male’ City last Saturday night has passed away.

The police have confirmed the stabbings to “Sun”, stating that the two victims of the stabbings were taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for treatment.

“Sun” has been informed that the young man who passed away in the attack is Moosa Ahmed Manik, 19, from Dheyliyaage in V. Keyodhoo.

IGMH’s media official reported that the two stabbing victims were 19 years and 24 years of age. The official said that the 19-year-old passed away from the injuries, while the 24-year-old remains under treatment.

“The doctor said he passed away shortly after he was brought to the hospital,” reported IGMH. “The second victim has also sustained serious injuries. We will not be able to give an account of the extent of his injuries at the moment. The doctors are treating him.”

The stabbings reportedly took place near Items in the Maafannu district of Male’ City.
