Dhiraagu takes part in International Coastal Cleanup Day

Local telecom giant, Dhiraagu, has taken part in the International Coastal Cleanup Day 2017 cleaning program in Kulhudhuffushi.

Dhiraagu said that the cleaning program was conducted with the BeLeaf environment group from Kulhudhuffushi, Parley Maldives, Island Council along with school students and volunteers.

The cleaning today was under their "For the Ocean" campaign started with Parley Maldives. Under the campaign, the company has pushed to rid of the one-use plastic bags among the employees and the community.

Dhiraagu said that their employees have stopped using one-time bottles in the office and started using water dispensers.

The telecom company said that protecting the environment is a major priority in their Corporate Responsibility.
