An elderly woman has started treatment in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) after sustaining 70 percent burns in a fire incident at Mahchangolhi Fascinationge.
MNDF Fire and Rescue Services confirmed the fire which started on a washing machine in the house.
Information Officer of IGMH, Ahmed Mausoom confirmed to Sun Media that a person injured in a fire incident tonight is being treated at the hospital's emergency room.
While the elderly woman's age is unclear at this time, Mausoom said that she is in critical condition and has sustained 70 percent burns according to the doctors.
Captain Ibrahim Azim, the Information Officer of MNDF, said that the fire was reported around 8 p.m. tonight. And the fire was extinguished when the Fire and Rescue Services arrived on scene.
The cause of the fire on the washing machine is unclear at this time.
