Boat sunk in VIlimalé lagoon reclaimed after two days

A cargo vessel that sank in the lagoon of Vilimalé on Sunday has been reclaimed by MNDF today.

MNDF said that the vessel named "Bull Head" started taking in water while travelling with construction gravel and so went into the Vilimalé lagoon. However the vessel couldn't be rescued with the pumps on board.

The vessel was reclaimed from the water today with the help of divers according to the MNDF Media Official.

The official said that no one was injured in the incident on Sunday and the vessel has been reclaimed and taken to Thilafushi now.
