First Maldives Travel Fair in Malaysia begins

The first ever Maldives Travel Fair in Malaysia organized by Air Asia, All H Maldives and Maldives Getaways, has begun at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport today.

The fair will continue tomorrow as well from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. according to Maldives Getaways.

Maldives Getaways said that the purpose of the fair is to showcase that Maldives is not just a luxury destination for the wealthy and that anyone can visit the Maldives on vacation.

And so Air Asia and Air Asia Thai is selling tickets to the Maldives at a lowered price. Maldives Getaways said that local hoteliers and Air Asia have also introduced low fare travel packages as well.

Packages available at the Maldives Travel Fair:

- Two nights accommodation for two people, with airport transfer: USD 225

- Three nights accommodation for two, with airport transfer: USD 285

While the reservations for the above packages have to be made during the course of the fair, Maldives Getaways said that the packages will be used from 1 March 2018 to 21 November 2018.

Resorts and Guesthouses operating in the Maldives are taking part in the Maldives Travel Fair in Malaysia including Adhaaran Resorts, Villa Hotels and Resorts, Plumeria Maldives, Serene Sky Thoddoo, Jupiter Sunrise Lodge, Shallow Lagoon Rasdhoo, Crystal Sand Maafushi and Local Island Inn Hanyameedhoo.

Maldives Getaways said that a special promotion is also underway at the fair where vistors to the fair can take pictures and upload them to Instagram with #maldivestravelfair and stand a chance to win two nights in the Maldives for the most creative photo.
