Manager of the Life water factory in K. Hinmafushi, where the expatriate who was found dead on August 19 worked at, has been arrested in connection with the death.
Police media official reported to “Sun” that a 44-year-old Maldivian man has been arrested in connection to the case. He disclosed no details.
However, reliable sources have confirmed to “Sun” that the suspect in custody is the manager of the plant.
Police already have a 33-year-old Maldivian man in custody, in connection to the case. The suspect has been remanded to police custody pending outcome of investigation.
A source from Hinmafushi who spoke to “Sun” earlier reported that the expatriate man had been dead when he was taken to the health center; and that the doctor ruled it as a heart attack.
The expatriate was of Bangladesh nationality and 33 years of age. His body has been handed over to his family.
