Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has said that their employee who got injured last night after a cargo container fell had taken all the safety precautions.
In a statement issued by MPL today regarding the the incident that took place last night, the company said that they have noticed no indication to failiure to follow safety protocols.
And said that MPL always work with special attention to ensure the safety of their employees and those who use their harbor.
Media Official of MPL, Shifan Rauf told Sun Media today that the injured employee went through an emergency surgery last night and condition would become clearer after observation. Rauf said that MPL is handling all medical bills for the injured employee.
An official from MPL told Sun Media that an employee got their foot crushed by cargo container being loaded on to the cargo hold of a ship docked at the MPL area in Malé City.
