Here’s Your Receipt: MIRA launches special campaign

Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has launched a special campaign “Miothy Raseedhu” or “Here’s Your Receipt” to foster the habit issuing and collecting receipts in business transactions.

An official from MIRA reported that the campaign, which began this Tuesday, will continue until February, 2018.

Those who wish to participate in the campaign need to write down their phone number on a receipt from a business transaction, take a photo of it, and send it MIRA’s Viber number 9551415.

Two lucky winners will be selected every month and given MVR 1,500.

The two lucky winners need to:

- Send receipts from most number of businesses (minimum 10 businesses)

- Send most number of invalid receipts (receipts which does not fit regulations)

One lucky winner, who sends receipts from most number of businesses (minimum 30 businesses), will be given MVR 32,000 at the end of the campaign, reports MIRA.

The MVR 50,000 campaign is the second edition of MIRA’s “Kobaa Raseedhu?” campaign in 2015.
