Minor arrested from Naifaru for drug possession

A minor has been arrested from Lh. Naifaru with eight packets containing suspected narcotics substance.

Maldives Police Service reports the minor was arrested on September 1 by patrolling policemen.

The packets of suspected narcotics were found hidden underneath the collar and back of his t-shirt.

The case is under investigation by Naifaru Police Station.

The minor has been remanded to seven days in police custody in a place designated by Ministry of Home Affairs by Naifaru Magistrate Court.
