Another vessel has crashed on the outer seawall of the south port of Malé City.
Media official of MNDF said that a cargo boat, named "Mofaa 301" crashed on to the seawall on the south of Malé around 10:40 p.m. tonight. The official said that there was a local man and an expatriate on board a the time of the incident.
Although no one was injured, the vessel itself was heavily damaged and part of it is below the water.
After the incident occurred, the people on board and the people in the area attempted to save the vessel using a rope. But with no success, the owner of the vessel is working with another vessel.
Last Thursday, a launch and a dinghy crashed on the same seawall area sustaining massive damages.
Since the south side jetty was built, a number of incidents alongside difficulties with leaving and entering the port. So far there have been no solutions to the problem.
