Teen goes missing

Maldives Police Service has begun a search for a missing teenager in Malé City.

Police Media Official told Sun Media that they are looking for 17-year-old Aishath Shimreen Imad, originally from Alifu Dhaalu Hanyaameedhoo.

The girl was reported missing around 4:30 p.m. today, according to the police, but no further details were shared.

Sources say that the girl is student in the capital city, staying with her family. She was last seen in Hinmafushi and the family has not heard from her since then.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts are to contact the police or Family and Child Protection.
