Local man arrested in relation to Hinmafushi murder

A 33-year-old local man has been arrested in relation to the murder of the expatriate who worked at the Life water plant in Kaafu Hinmafushi.

Police Media Official said that they arrested a Maldivian man in relation to the case and has been remanded by 15 days.

The death of a 38-year-old Bangladeshi national was reported dead on Saturday. The body is currently in the mortuary.

A man from the island said that the expatriate man was dead when he was taken to the hospital.

Sources say that the man lived on the island with other expatriates.

Police are investigating the crime due to suspicions in the case.
