Night Market cancelled

Vice President of the Association of Business owners, Ismail Asif has said that they have cancelled the Night Market originally set for 15 November 2017.

In an interview with Sun Media today, Asif said that although the Housing Ministry has approved the permits to hold the shopping festival, the ministry is not providing support for the event and so it has been cancelled.

Asif said that the Ministry liaison for the event is someone on leave and the acting liaison does not know any related information of the event.

He said that they received a letter from the Housing Ministry yesterday which asks for an agreement to hold the Night Market.But the association have no clue as to what includes in the contract.

Asif said that they cancelled the Night Market early to avoid losses since the they cannot host the event without the cooperation of the Ministry.

While over 800 people have registered to get a lot at the event, Asif said that no money has been charged from anyone.

There has been no word from the Housing Ministry in relation to the cancellation.
