MNDF urges Police to remain undeterred in their services

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has urged Maldives Police to remain undeterred in their services following the death of Police Lance Corporal Adam Haleem.

MNDF said in a statement that they are united with Maldives Police Services in mourning the death the Police officer.

The late Police Lance Corporal Adam Haleem, 26, was stabbed to death last night while he was reporting to work.

MNDF strongly condemned the crime, and said that it is not acceptable that the forces which protect and defend our nation are being attacked and killed, and that encouragement of acts of violence should not be tolerated.

The Police flag will be flown at half-mast for three days.
