The first group of Maldivians have left for Saudi Arabia to perform this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
1,000 Maldivians will be making the Hajj pilgrimage this year.
The first to depart to Saudi Arabia were 95 pilgrims under the charge of Zaee Group Private Limited.
Maldivians will be making the Hajj pilgrimage this year under the charge of Zaee Group, Sisilfar, Haramain and Maldives Hajj Corporation.
693 Maldivians will be performing the pilgrimage under the charge of Maldives Hajj Corporation; 98 Maldivians under the charge of Haramain; 96 Maldivians under the charge of Sisilfar; and 97 Maldivians under the charge of Zaee Group.
Advance teams from all the Hajj groups have already set up in Saud Arabia.
214 pilgrims under the charge of Maldives Hajj Corporation and 94 pilgrims under the charge of Haramain are scheduled to depart to Saudi Arabia on August 8.
The last of the pilgrims will depart on August 23.
