Leader of Jumhoory Party, Qasim Ibrahim has taken a turn for the worse and has been admitted at ADK Hospital once more, reports JP.
Secretary-General of JP, Ahmed Sameer reported Qasim was admitted at hospital this Sunday morning.
Sameer said Qasim had been feeling poorly since last Saturday evening, and was taken to the hospital after he started feeling faint and couldn’t stand upright.
Sameer said Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, ADK Hospital and Medica Hospital have instructed Qasim to undergo heart surgery, but that he was unable to travel out of the country for the surgery due to a travel ban on him issued by Criminal Court.
“As a result of complications due to this as no further treatment is available, he was very week yesterday evening. Last night too. He was taken to the hospital in the morning because he felt faint and couldn’t even stand upright,” said Sameer.
Qasim is being treated at the HDU Care of ADK Hospital.
Sameer said the hospital can do nothing but monitor his condition as the treatment for his condition is not available from Maldives.
Qasim was first admitted on July 16 to Medica Hospital. He was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of ADK Hospital the same day and discharged on July 24.
