Closed hearing held in planned bombing trial

The hearing in the trial of suspects in the planned bombing in Male’ City – held this Thursday – was closed to the public.

The suspects; Nasiu Mohamed from Vidhuvaru in H. A. Hoarafushi, Mohamed Thasleem from Alanaasige in H. A. Hoarafushi, Iuthisham Mohamed Saeed from Gumreege in G. Dh. Madaveli, and Shiman Shareef from Riveli in H. Dh. Naavaidhoo were arrested in April and stand accused of conspiracy to carry out an act of terrorism.

The hearing in the case was scheduled for 11 am this Thursday.

Criminal Court reports the hearing was closed at the request of State prosecution.
