Qasim discharged from hospital

Leader of the Jumhooree Party, the MP for Maamigili constituency, Qasim Ibrahim has been released from the hospital.

JP Spokesperson, Ali Solih told Sun Media that Qasim was released this evening but he did not say whether Qasim returned home or somewhere else after being discharged.

While the JP Leader has been released from the hospital today, a hearing in his trial in the charge of bribing MPs have been set for 11 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Qasim was initially admitted at Medica Hospital at noon on 16 July with chest pain and difficulty breathing. He was transferred to ADK Hospital on the same day after his passport was held by the state when he went to Velana International Airport to go abroad for medical treatment. He was later put in ICU after his condition got worse.
