Adheeb: Pistol does not belong to Nazim, I know how it happened

Former Vice President, Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Gafoor has said that three bullets and the pistol firearm found at the residence of the former Defence Minister, Colonel-retired Mohamed Nazim did not belong to the former Defence Minister as the authorities have said and he knows how it happened.

In a letter sent to the Supreme Court on 20 June 2017 with the signature and fingerprint of Adheeb, the former Vice President said that he would revealed the truth behind the firearm and the bullets found at Nazim's residence if he was given the opportunity.

In the letter, Adheeb said that he knows the truth behind the firearm and bullets discovered at the former Defence Minister's residence on 18 January 2015 and the reason behind it along with the planning, execution and the names of the people involved.

Adheeb also assured that he could prove that Nazim had no knowledge of the discovery at his residence.

Colonel-retired Nazim is currently serving an 11-year prison sentence for the import and possession of a firearm.

He was sentenced by the Criminal Court on 26 March 2015 and the sentence was supported by the High Court.
