New Chairman appointed to WAMCO

Ahmed Siraj (Memosa, Malé City) has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO).

The appointment was announced in a tweet sent out by the President of the Privatization and Corporatization Board, Mohamed Niyaz.

The previously Chairman of WAMCO, Ali Khalid, was dismissed from the position on 14 May 2017.

On the day of Khalid’s dismissal, the Managing Director of WAMCO, Ibrahim Fuad was also dismissed from the company.
