Power restored after 30-minute outage at national airport

Power has been restored after a 30-minute outage at Velana International Airport this Saturday morning.

Power went out from a large part of VIA at approximately 9 am this Saturday morning, putting operations at a standstill.

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) reports power was restored to the airport after approximately 30 minutes.

The power outage left a number of passengers waiting as the airport was unable to process their check-ins.

Power outages at VIA have taken place from time to time.
