Reconstruction work on Majeedhee Magu in Male’ City will be suspended and the street opened for the month of Ramadan, reports Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure.
The decision to re-open Majeedhee Magu – the main road which stretches along the length of the city - was announced by Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu in a tweet he made this Wednesday morning.
Majeedhee Magu has now been reconstructed up to the Galolhu National Stadium.
Minister Muizzu said the work will be resumed after Fitr Eid.
Reconstruction work on Majeedhee Magu was scheduled to be complete at the beginning of this year but has been delayed due to various reasons.
Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure reports that reconstruction of Majeedhee Magu will repair portholes on the street and create easier access to narrow streets joining Majeedhee Magu.
