Judge Rauf sworn in as a member of JSC

Judge Abdl Rauf Ibrahim has been sworn in as a member of Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

Judge Abdul Rauf was sworn in by Supreme Court judge Abdulla Areef in a function held this Tuesday at President’s Office.

He was given his credentials by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

Judge Abdul Rauf was appointed as a member of JSC for the seat allocated for High Court judges through a vote taken among the seven High Court judges.

He won the vote over Chief Judge of High Court Abdulla Didi with the margin of just one vote.

Judge Abdul Rauf received four votes while Judge Abdulla Didi received three votes.
