A young man was injured in a stabbing which took place outside the Vilimale’ Ferry Terminal in Male’ City last Monday night.
Police media official reported the stabbing took place outside the parking lot of the terminal, and that the man injured in the stabbing was taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The young man was reportedly attacked by two individuals just as he drove out of the parking lot on his motorcycle after arriving in Male’ City on the ferry.
The two individuals involved in the attack had reportedly fled after the attack.
Commenting on the incident, IGMH’s information officer Ahmed Mausoom reported that a 20-year-old man with multiple stab wounds was being treated at the hospital.
“He has been stabbed with a sharp weapon in three places on his chest. His wounds have been tended to, and he has now been transferred to the ward,” said Mausoom.
IGMH reports the young man is recovering.
