STO starts wholesale of onion, potato, eggs for Ramadan

State Trading Organization (STO) has started wholesale of stocks of onions, potatoes and eggs imported into the country for the upcoming month of Ramadan.

STO reports the products will be available for wholesale from this Saturday to May 18 from STO Supermart Wholesale Center.

The products will be available for wholesale from May 20 onwards everyday (except for Fridays) from the STO No. II Koshi from 8:30 am to 4 pm until Ramadan; and from 10 am to noon and 1 pm to 3 pm during Ramadan.

STO’s Senior General Manager Fathimath Aashaan reported last week that shipments of onions, potatoes and eggs will also be available from the northern island of H. Dh.

Kulhudhuffushi and Addu City in the south. The shipments will be transported to nearby atolls from the two points.

Aashaan reported the products will be sold this year in partnership with private shops. The products will be available for the same retail price from all shops STO partners with.
