Bank of Maldives (BML) has signed on as a platinum partner for the Travel Trade Maldives (TTM) – the first international travel trade show which will be held in Maldives.
TTM is organized by Maldives Gateways and is scheduled to be held from July 12 – 13 at Dharubaaruge in Male’ City.
The partnership agreement between BML and Maldives Gateways to sponsor the event was held this Tuesday at BML’s head office.
The partnership agreement was signed by CEO and Managing Director of BML, Andrew Healy and Managing Director of Maldives Gateways, Ahmeem Abdul Razzaq.
BML is now the title partner for “Hotelia Summit Maldives 2017” – a forum for top officials working in tourist hoteling industry – which will be held at TTM.
Speaking during the signing, Healy said TTM will help Maldivian tourism industry to strengthen its international connections, and that the bank was happy to lend its support.
“This fair will help local industry stakeholders to strengthen further their international connections in order to promote the country in even more markets. The tourism industry has of course an ambitious goal of attracting two million tourist arrivals per annum by 2020 and we are delighted to lend our support to the achievement of this goal,” said Healy.
Maldives Gateways estimates more than 100 hotels and resorts operating in Maldives and more than 150 tour operators, as well international media will participate in the event.
It estimates more than 3,000 meetings will be held between stakeholders during the event
