MVR 2.4 mn in products distributed to police as Ramadan incentive

Employees working for Maldives Police Service (MPS) have started receiving MVR 2.4 million in products as an incentive for Ramadan.

The decision to provide the incentive was made by Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Areef.

MPS announced in a statement issued this Tuesday that the products are funded through profits made by Police Corporative Society and companies the corporative has shares in.

The products will be distributed from this Tuesday to May 25.

Police Corporative Society was founded in 2012 as a support body for retired police officers and to boost morale within the service.

Similar Ramadan incentives were provided by Police Corporate Society to police officers for last Ramadan as well.
