Interim LCE results to be announced this Monday

Interim results for Local Council Election 2017 held on May 6 will be announced this Monday, reports Election Commission.

Media official for EC reported to “Sun” that the commission was making preparations to announce the interim results this Monday afternoon.

“We are working on announcing the interim results sometime in the afternoon,” said the official.

Different media stations have published conflicting election results, raising questions as to the accuracy.

The election was held on May 6 after it was postponed four times.

1,483 candidates competed for 664 council seats during the election.
