Arrestees in special op suspected of planning bombing in Male’ City

The men arrested in the special operation by police on Monday night are suspects in a planned bombing of Male’ City, reports a reliable source to “Sun”.

Special ops officers raided a number of houses in Machangolhi district of Male’ City on Monday night, including the office of Attic International Private Limited located in Ma. Enboodhooge, Ma. Kinara House and Ma. Namoonaage.

Officers made multiple arrests from the locations and confiscated items as evidence.

“Sun” has received reliable information that the men arrested are suspected of planning a bombing in Male’ City, and that officers collected evidence to support the suspicion.

The court order for raid on Attic International allowed permission for to police collect evidence following “intel of planning being carried out inside the office for an act which could threaten national security.”

Police have made no official comment regarding the case.
