Man with broken ribs after accident in Addu transported to Male’ City

A 61-year-old with broken ribs after a road accident in Addu City Link Road last Monday has been transported to Male’ City for treatment.

The accident took place on the Link Road at approximately 6:30 pm on Monday when two motorcycles collided.

Three people were taken to Hithadhoo Regional Hospital for treatment following the accident.

Manager of Hithadhoo Regional Hospital, Mohamed Najeeb reported this Tuesday that the most serious injury was incurred by a 61-year-old man who suffered broken ribs.

Najeeb said the man was treated at the Intensive Care Unit of Hithadhoo Regional Hospital before he was transported to Male’ City this Tuesday afternoon.

One of the accident victims has been released from the hospital after treatment while another still remains. Hithadhoo Regional Hospital reports neither of the other two accident victims suffered critical injuries.

The accident takes place after a young man involved in an accident on the Link Road died from his injuries on March 19.
