8 people including minor arrested with liquor

Police have arrested eight suspect, including a minor for possession and distribution of liquor.

Police report the suspects were arrested in an operation conducted by the police in Male’ City last Saturday based on intel received by Drug Enforcement Department.

A house in Male’ City and a car was also searched under court order in connection with the case.

Police report they confiscated four bottles of liquor from the third floor of the house, and seven more bottles of liquor from the car.

One of the eight suspects arrested is 17 years of age.
