Secretary General of MDP, Anas summoned to Police

The Secretary General of MDP, Anas Abdulsattar has been ordered to appear at the Police Station.

Anas told Sun Media tonight that he has received a slip from the Maldives Police Service to appear at the station at 8 p.m. tomorrow to provide information required by the Police.

At a time where the opposition activities have been strengthened, the leading members are being summoned to the Police.

While the Deputy Leader of Jumhooree Party and MP for Kimbidhoo constituency, Abdulla Riyaz has already been summoned and questioned, the Leader of Jumhooree Party, Qasim Ibrahim was summoned to the Police tonight.

The MP that led the charge in the no-confidence motion against the Speaker of the Parliament Abdulla Maseeh, the MP for Dhiggaru constituency, Ahmed Faaris Maumoon has also been repeatedly summoned by the Maldives Police Service.
