Waste management at 14 sites of the State Trade Organization (STO) has been contracted to the Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO).
At a ceremony held at STO today, the contract agreement was signed between the Managing Director of STO, Ahmed Shareeh and the Managing Director of WAMCO, Ibrahim Fuad.
Under the agreement signed today, WAMCO would be responsible for the collection and disposal from 14 sites of STO.
The Managing Director of STO, Shaheer said that the company is currently handling the waste management in-house.
He said that the waste disposal from STO would be taken under commercial operations of WAMCO.
Shaheer said that STO would also transport the recycling waste from WAMCO on STO ships to India without an extra charge.
