Two reported to the Police for threatening prosecutor

A case has been filed with the Maldives Police Service against two people for threatening a state prosecutor at the Prosecutor General’s Office, (PG Office).

Prosecutor General, Aishath Bisham told Sun Media tonight that they have reported to the Police about a threat made by two people against one of their prosecutor’s yesterday at the Criminal Court.

Bisham said that the incident has been brought to the attention of the Department of Judicial Administration and the Supreme Court.

The state prosecutor was threatened by two men summoned to the court regarding a mugging. The men threatened the prosecutor that he should not be seen on the streets.

So far there has been no word from the Police regarding the case.
