Defense Minister: Bullets from Girifushi will not reach Hinmafushi, no threat

Minister of Defense, Adam Shareef Umar has declared bullets from weapons fired in the training camp in K. Girifushi will not reach K. Hinmafushi.

The statement was made by Minister Adam Shareef in a tweet he made from his official Twitter account this Sunday.

In the tweet, he added that there was no threat to the people of Hinmafushi.

A bullet was found lodged into the window frame of a house in Hinmafushi on February 1 as the windows were being re-painted. It’s believed to have hit the window on the night of January 28 as a resident reported hearing a loud bang.

Authorities have not made any comment regarding the cause.

Military reports the case is under investigation.
