New hotline for Finance Ministry with new online salary payment method

Finance Ministry has decided to establish a hotline along with a call center to change the salary payment of the government to an online system.

Previously, state institutes must go the Ministry to acquire a check which in turn has to be submitted the bank.

Financial Controller at the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, Fathimath Razeena said that the new system would facilitate the state institutes online when they send the information. While the process takes about seven days in the past, she said that the new system would speed up the process.

Minister of Finance, Ahmed Munawar said that from March 2017, a call center would be established to apply for the services of the ministry.

The Minister said that payments and other services provided by the ministry would be available through the call center.
