Police Corporative Society to issue loans to compensate for delay in salary

Police Corporative Society has made the decision to issue interest-free loans to compensate for the delay in salary for the month of January to police officers.

An announcement released this Wednesday which is signed by CEO of Police Corporative Society, Abdul Mannaan Yoosuf reads that loans will be of no more than MVR 10,000, each.

Police Corporative Society reports the loans are interest-free, and payable over two months.

Officers who wish to take the loans have been instructed to submit the loan application form to Police Corporative Society.

Delay in salary payment to civil servants for the month of January has resulted in concern among civil servants.

Ministry of Finance and Treasury has not commented on the reason for the delay.
