Australian government has opened application for its annual Australia Awards scholarships to Maldivians.
Australia Awards are international scholarships and fellowships in undergraduate and postgraduate studies funded by Australian government and awarded to developing countries – especially countries located in the Indo-Pacific region.
It aims to contribute to long term development needs of Australia’s partner countries in line with bilateral and regional agreements.
Australian government has opened spots for master’s degree in four fields this year for Maldives.
The fields are:
1. Education
2. Sustainable Development
3. Good Governance
4. Economic Development
Only candidates who have a first degree up to par with standards of Australian universities, and those with the minimum standard of English language required are eligible for the spots.
Those chosen will have a full scholarship; with tuition fees, two-way tickets to Australia and medical insurance, as well as other expenses paid for by Australian government.
Spots are available from 53 universities in Australia. And interested candidates need to submit forms by April.
The courses will start in 2018.
