The accident in Kalaidhoo took place on January 28 while three people – including the 14-year-old - were out for a midnight ride on their motorcycles. Paddles on two of the motorcycles got ensnared in each other, which led to the motorcycles tripping and crashing onto the ground.
The teen left injured in the accident was transported to Male’ City and taken to IGMH on January 30.
The hospital reported in an earlier interview that the teen was left braindead from injuries he sustained to his head. And that the doctors had abandoned all hope of him making a recovery.
