Allied marks 32-years, MD says it’s just the beginning

State-owned Allied Insurance is marking its 32nd anniversary; 32 years of non-stop service to the people of Maldives in assisting them in their hour of need, 32 years of overcoming challenges to introduce modern insurance plans to Maldives.

In his statement on occasion of Allied’s 32nd anniversary which is being celebrated this Monday, Managing Director of Allied Insurance, Ahmed Ameel described the company as a “Maldivian child”.

“Seeing our child growing up is a sight which produces feelings of gratefulness and happiness in our hearts. Allied Insurance is such a child. This company has stolen all our hearts. We are proud of the company. No just for its monetary achievements. We are proud of the company’s integrity, services it provides, and the close relationship it has with its customers,” said Ameel.

Allied Insurance has made great strides over the years in using modern technology to provide its services; the mobile application it released in 2016 is one such notable example.

Over the past 32 years, the staff of the company have become a family; a strong family of 200 people.

Allied Insurance built “Umar Shopping Arcade” in 2016 to further boost the spirit of its employees.

Ameel said that long as 32-years may be, it was still young compared to its parent company.

He said that the company was developing at a fast pace, and was currently the strongest insurance company in Maldives.

Ameel credited the achievement to revolutionary changes brought about by officials at the helm of the company, and the hard work of all its employees.

“As Managing Director, I am thankful for the love you have in your hearts for this company. I commend your commitment and attention to your work, and thank you,” he said.

Today, there are multiple insurance companies operating in Maldives, creating competition within the industry.

Insurance industry in Maldives is evolving, with the “story” of its beginning now part of history.

Ameel said he was committed to contributing further to the “story”.

“It has been 32 years to the story of insurance in Maldives. But this is just the beginning…” said Ameel, ending his statement.
