Man in possession of heroin sentenced to life imprisonment

Wisham Mohamed from H. Filmy Site in Male’ City has been sentenced to life imprisonment and fined with MVR 100,000 after being found guilty of possession of narcotics.

Wisham arrested with the narcotics from harbor area at 10:10 pm on July 20, 2013.

Criminal Court ruled that witness testimony proved narcotics was found inside the pockets of his

jeans during the body search. And that lab testing proved the substance to be 9,960.8 grams of heroin.

Wisham has been ordered to pay the fine to Criminal Court within one month.
