A man injured in a traffic collision in Gaafu Alifu Villingili has been set for transport to Malé due to the seriousness of his injuries.
Manager of the Gaafu Alifu Atoll Hospital in Villingili, Shafiz oosa told Sun Media tonight that four people were injured in the motorcycle collision today and two of them has been released after treatment.
Shafiz said that the serious injuries in the collision was sustained by 21-year-old Muaz Habeeb (Gaafu Dhaalu Rathafandhoo). The man sustained cuts on his throat and face affecting the eyes.
There has been no word from the Police in relation to the traffic collision.
CCTV footage at the scene of the collision has been circulating on social media which shows a speeding motorcycle hitting another that was coming from an intersection.
While the main roads in Gaafu Alifu Villingili has tarmac, the safety speed breaks and traffic signs are yet to be installed.
