EC announces vacancy for officials for Council Election

Elections Commission has made vacancy announcement for people interested in officiating the upcoming Local Council Election.

EC made the announcement this Monday, in which it said the commission was looking for officials to operate in polling stations in inhabited islands of Maldives, resorts, industrial zones, prisons, and abroad.

EC has instructed interested parties who fit the criteria to submit online application forms via http://forms.elections.gov.mv by 4 pm, January 28.

EC announced that those in the atolls unable to submit application forms online can submit their application forms to city or island councils.

Local Council Election was originally scheduled to be held on January 14, but was postponed by order of Civil Court.

EC has announced the postponed election will be held on April 8.
