Chancellor of Islamic University of Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has left for India on special invitation by Indian government.
IUM reports Dr. Shaheem travelled to India last Sunday evening after accepting an invitation by Minister of External Affairs of India, Sushma Swaraj on behalf of Indian government.
Dr. Shaheem will be in India from January 15 to January 23; during which time he is scheduled to visit Aligarh Muslim University, University of Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia and Jawaharlal Nehru University and meet with top officials from the universities.
“He is also scheduled to meet with Maldivian students studying at these universities,” reported IUM.
Dr. Shaheem will also be negotiating for resources needed by IUM, including human resources.
