26-year-old injured in road accident in Thinadhoo

A road accident in G. Dh. Thinadhoo on Saturday night involving two motorcycles – one of which was speeding – left a 26-year-old man with injuries.

Police media official reported the accident involved a speeding motorcycle being driven along the street – Gulzaaru Magu – and another motorcycle being driven along the street – Dhoshimeyna Magu.

The two motorcycles had collided at the crossroad between the two streets.

Police media official reported on Saturday night that the 26-year-old man driving the speeding motorcycle sustained injuries in the accident, and was receiving treatment at Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital.

Details of the injuries are unavailable at the moment.

Police reported no one else was injured in the accident.

An eyewitness reported to “Sun” one of the motorcycles was thrown about 45-feet away with the impact.
