SriLankan Airlines has launched scheduled flight operations between Gan, Addu City and Oman.
Newspaper, Muscat Daily reported that scheduled flight operations between Gan and Oman was launched this Monday, December 26.
It said that SrrLankan had started the flight operations with four weekly flights.
SriLankan is the only international airport which operates in Gan International Airport. It started scheduled flight operations between Colombo, Sri Lankan and Gan on December 1.
An official from SriLankan who spoke to Muscat Daily reported that the airline wanted to best airline operating in Maldives, and the airline which offers flights to the most number of destinations.
Manager of SriLankan Airlines in Oman reported to Muscat Daily that area where Gan is located was comparatively unexposed territory, providing a golden opportunity for tourists who wished to discover the beauty of the tropical country.
SriLankan noted that resorts in the area ranged from luxury to low-budget hotels, and that the airline offered itinerary and other travel services needed by tourists.
SriLankan has flights to 102 destinations in 47 countries across the globe.
