45 employees to be laid off from Ministry of Finance

Ministry of Finance and Treasury has brought changes to its employee structure and made the decision to lay off 45 of its employees.

Ministry of Finance sent a memo to all its employees announcing that it will be implementing the new employee structure which does not include existing 45 positions.

The memo reads that the ministry will facilitate transfer of the 45 employees who will be laid off to other offices through the Civil Service Commission.

Ministry of Finance said that the structural change will increase the efficiency of the establishment.

The employees on Ministry of Finance have expressed their opposition to the decision through strikes.
