FENAKA employ 100 people with disabilities

FENAKA Corporation has employed 100 people with disabilities.

This is the first time a company has employed s large number of people under the “No one left aside” policy formed at the suggestion of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

At a special ceremony held at Dharubaaruge this morning, employment certificates were awarded to 74 individuals by the President Abdulla Yameen and the First Lady, Fathimath Ibrahim.

The remaining 26 would receive their letter of employment later on according to FENAKA Corp.

Managing Director of FENAKA Corporation, Ahmed Shareef said today that there are people with birth defects and those who were forced out of work due to injuries among those employed today.

Providing utility solutions in 152 islands, all hires from FENAKA today are to be employed in their branches in the atolls.

While FENAKA employs 2,400, the number has risen to 2,500 with the hires today.

At the ceremony today, the First Lady donated auto-wheelchairs from the Chairty Foundation to three current employees of FENAKA in need of wheelchairs.
