Court orders Allaam to pay money spent from credit card

Civil Court has ordered the main shareholder of SOF Pvt. Ltd., Mohamed Allaam Latheef to pay the unsettled amount spent from BML VISA GOLD credit card.

The verdict from the court on 19 December 2016 said that due to the spending on the card, the debt up to 16 December 2016 is at USD 1,092.99 and was ordered to settle the amount along with the interests and fines within three months.

Civil Court delivered the verdict in the absence of the defendant. Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and the Audit Office has accused SOF to have taken in most money from the MMPRC corruption and embezzlement.
