Chemical thrown on face of Lhaimagu woman

A woman from Sh. Lhaimagu has been attacked with a chemical which was thrown on her face, early Saturday morning.

President of Lhaimagu Council, Abdul Ghanee Ibrahim reported that the incident took place at dawn, just as the woman opened the doors of her home – where she lives alone.

“The chemical was thrown at her face. I don’t know what type of chemical. But something very powerful,” said Abdul Ghanee.

Abdul Ghanee said the victim of the chemical attack was President Women’s Development Committee in Lhaimagu, Haleema Adam.

Haleema has been taken to Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital for treatment.

Police media official said that the case was reported to the authority at approximately 6 am, this Saturday; and that it was investigating the case.

No arrests have been made yet.
